MAC Haul!

Hello Lovelies!

Recently I have been saving up my money to hopefully go on a trip later this year so after fully paying my credit card off and putting a chunk of money in a savings account, I couldn't help but splurge a teeny tiny bit on some new MAC stuff! These are all from new lines Mac has launched, some are permanent and some are limited edition but we'll talk more about that below!
MAC's website was having a deal saying where you can save $15 when you spend $75 so I bought a few things!
I picked up some of their new line of matte lipsticks. These are part of permanent line. However the eyeshadow and the fix + are limited edition. The eyeshadow is called Can't Stop Won't Stop, its a new formula called Dazzleshadow that is full of multicoloured glitter! Mac also came out with a line of scented Fix + and I got the rose scent. They are limited edition as well!
These are the lipsticks swatched. They are very fall appropriate and I love them!
They are very creamy and comfortable to wear. They last so long on the lips as well. I really love the finish!
The eyeshadow looks so pretty but honestly I wouldn't recommend it. I have way better performing shadows from makeup geek for a fraction of the cost. This shadow only really performs well on top of a base. You can see below!
I will use it obviously but it sucks that it doesn't work well dry. The glitter just flakes off everywhere and I get no colour payoff on the lids.
I love this fix + so much! I wish they would make the scented line permanent! The rose scent is so nice! They also have Coconut, Lavender, Cucumber and Yuzu.
This little guy came as a free sample with the order. Its a face primer.

These are all the things I picked up from Mac! Hope you liked it, let me know if you've tried any of these goodies yet!

Makeup Review: Colour Pop Highlighters

Hello Lovelies!

I have been so busy that I finally am now getting a chance to review these amazing Colour Pop highlighters! You all now how much I love this brand and they are growing so fast and continuing to produce amazing new products all the time! Some of these amazing products being their highlighters!
I bought 7 of them because they had so many colour choices and everything was so pretty!
My camera isn't doing them much justice but they are absolutely stunning and have a gorgeous reflect to them!
These are up close pictures of each pot.
This pot came in a little broken. I guess it happens quite a bit and since its a very squishy product, you can easily squish it back together. Its just a very soft product so it can break like that from the shipping. I didn't mind but I thought I should let you know!
These are my initial one swipe swatches, they are so beautiful and everyone of every skin tone can find the perfect highlight for their complexion!
They are so pretty!!

These are their names, Colour Pop always has really fun names!
My favourite shade is definitely Monster. I wish the camera was doing it justice because it has this incredible pinky purple shift to it and once its on the skin it has the most incredible glow! I am obsessed with it!!

They are easy to apply too! I use a tapered synthetic brush, or a small duo fibre stippling brush. You can even use your fingers and achieve a beautifully blended look. I am going to give them a 10/10 because I honestly cannot fault them. They are so affordable but have the quality of a high end product! I haven't been able to stop using them!

So... awkward transition... I have Snapchat!! I love using it and its really fun and I think it would be a cool way to connect with you lovelies on another level. I would be able to take mini videos of swatches to really show you the magic of these highlighters! SO you can add me by scanning the picture below or leave your user name in the comments, I would love to add you!

Makeup Review: Colour Pop Where the light is Quad

Hello Lovelies!

I am super excited to be sharing this gorgeous eyeshadow foursome with you! Kathleenlights from Youtube has curated this quad of eyeshadows with Colourpop and I will be reviewing and swatching them for you! Keep an eye out for more Colourpop reviews coming because I hauled quite a bit last month!
This is the outside packaging on the eyeshadow set. It is so cute and represents Kathleen very well! She did a great job with the colours and the design!
These are the four shades. Now for anyone who doesn't know Kathleen, she LOVES warm tones for eyeshadows! She loves coppers and really vibrant warm toned shades so it was no surprise when I saw these shades that she made! They are so beautiful and vibrant!
The first shade called Cornelious is a beautiful matte warm camel brown shade perfect for blending into the crease.
The second shade is a called Blaze and has a metallic finish. It is stunning on the lids!
The third shade is glow which is a matte cream shade that is great for the brow bone and inner corner of the eye.
The last shade is Kathleenlights which is a stunning copper pearlized shade. It comes off very metallic and really packs a punch of colour on the lids! Its definitely my favourite of the four!
These are all the shades swatched! As you can see the pigmentation is great and as usual Colour Pop has a smooth amazing cream to powder consistency! I love this quad and think it is perfect for summer!

Let me know what you think and if you've tried this yet!
PS: Colour Pop highlighters post is coming soon!

Top 10 Nude Lipsticks for Olive/Tan Skin

Hello Lovelies!

I have been wanting to do this post for a while now. I have tan/olive undertone skin and so most light nude lipsticks would look awful on me. So I figured out which tones look good on me and have compiled this list of recommendations for my olive skin girls!
Most of these are very affordable drugstore options! The brands are all listed below next to the swatches.
The shades above are pink toned nudes. These ones come off as pinky nude lips on me! They are so pretty with a cool toned eye or natural makeup!
These are more peachy toned nude lipsticks. They look so beautiful because they are almost your lips but better kind of lipsticks. They work perfectly if you want a neutral lip with an intense eye or even just a go to everyday look! Love them!

These are my nude lipstick recommendations for olive/tan/medium skin tone girls! Hope you like them!

The Lipstick Tag

Hello lovelies!

I saw this tag on a lovely blogger's page a while back and I thought I would give it a go since lipsticks are my favourite makeup product!

1. How many lipsticks do you own?
I am really embarassed to answer this, but I've been accumulating them for a while now and I promise I make a point out of using them all! I own 102 lipsticks.... I know, I'm sorry!
2. What was the first lipstick you owned?
The first lipstick I owned was a lipstick my mom bought me from Avon. It was a colour called Totally Twig and it was a stunning your-lips-but-better lipstick that I still repurchase till now.
3. What is your favourite lipstick brand?
I would have to say MAC. They are consistent in their quality and I really enjoy their formulas!
4. What is your most worn lipstick?
My most worn liptick is my Avon lipstick called Totally Twig, I love it so much!

5. What is your favourite finish?
I love MAC's Amplified finishes. I also like satin finishes for other lipsticks like the Nars Audacious.
6. What was the last lipstick you bought?
The last lipstick I bought was a couple of weeks ago and it was Fern from Colourpop!
7. How many lip products do you currently have in your bag?
I always have 5 or 6 lipsticks in my bag, some neutral and some bold ones. I currently have Makeup Forever Rouge Artist lipstick in N9, NYX matte lip cream in Cannes, Lorac Dominatrix, and a coloupop lippie in the colour Frida.
8. What is your favourite red lip colour?
My favourite red lip is very wearable and it's called Party Line by MAC. Other than that I prefer a deep, dark red lipstick.

9. How do you store your lipsticks?
I buy these acrylic lipstick holders with 24 slots. They're around $4 - $5 on eBay and they fit most lipsticks!
This is the lipgloss holder from byallegory. I use it to hold my lipglosses from Gerard cosmetics and other lip products that are taller than a regular lipstick tube!

I hold my Colour Pop lippies in this brush holder that I got a while back.

As of recent though, I bought the lipstick spinner from Juvia's place! It is my main lipstick holder now and I love it!

10. Which lipsticks are you currently lusting after?
I would love to get my hands on MAC's lipstick called Photo. But I am going to wait till I have enough back to Mac products to get it for free! I also really want to try some ABH liquid lipsticks and lipglosses!

Hope you guys enjoyed the read! I tag all of you to do this tag!

May Favourites

Hello Lovelies!

I know everyone says this but seriously can you believe we are already in June! Its crazy how time flies and this month is very special because Ramadan starts! Its an exciting time of the year for Muslims all over the world! Anyway I'll be writing a separate post on prepping for Ramadan!

So for now, on to my May favourites!
These are all my May favourites! I have been using these non-stop all month long and they have been wonderful!
These are products that  have helped me maintain budge proof makeup all day during the warm weather!
This is a brush I recently purchased from Morphe. It is the M439 and it is amazing! I love how dense of a buffing brush this is and that its big because it covers more space on my face. I can blend my foundation out really fast and easy with this soft brush!
I've already reviewed this product so you guys know how much I love it! I bought it in multiple shades and I love correcting my other foundation undertones with these Cover FX drops. They are wonderful and I mix them with pretty much every foundation!
I have been loving this pretty nude pink shade on me for the Spring. It is the NYX butter lipstick in the shade Pops and I got in an Ipsy bag a few months back.
I love this foundation because I can depend on it so well with my oily skin. This foundation does not move and stays put through sweat, rain, heat and wind. It is so perfect for the May weather we've had where I live and I will continue to use it throughout the Summer. The shade is a bit too dark for me now but I tan easily in the summer and I mix them with my Cover FX drops too!
I have been loving to spray my face, brushes and pigments with MAC fix + a lot in May. It makes everything look so dewy and pretty and refreshes my face!
This is the Too Faced Melted lipstick in the shade Melted Berry. I have been loving this shade in May and have rocked it quite a bit. It wears for quite a long time and I love it!
This is the Tan pigment from MAC. I got mine in a holiday set but it is in the permanent line. I love this shade so much! It is the perfect copper/gold/champagne shade. I love to use it wet on the lids to create a foiled look!
This is the Becca shimmering skin perfector in the shade Blushed Copper. This is a limited edition shade but it can still be purchased on Sephora's website. This is such a beautiful powder. I love using it as a blush topper and it is so pigmented so I use a fan brush to brush it across my skin so lightly. It is stunning!!
This is the Colour Pop blush in the shade Early Bird. I love this colour so much and I have used it quite a bit during the month of May. It is such a gorgeous pop of colour on the cheeks and looks great with any lip colour!

These are all of my May favourites! I love them all so much and have used them like crazy. Let me know what your favourites have been!
