Makeup Review: LA Girl Lip Glazes

Hello Lovelies!

I am back with another review! This product is by no means new but I thought it might be useful to show some colour swatches and discuss this formula.
These are some of the shades of the L.A. Girl Lip Glazes. These were very popular last year when they first came out. Many people said they were dupes for the Too Faced melted liquid lipsticks. They are NOT dupes for those lipsticks whatsoever. In fact they are actually good dupes for OCC lip tars! These of course are much more affordable than the lip tars. They retail anywhere from $3-$6 at various drugstores.
They are packaged in squeeze tubes. The applicator is awful! I love the product that comes out but the packaging is not convenient at all! Because of the formula, the lip gloss is extremely pigmented and so it needs more of a precise applicator, which this doesn't have. You pretty much need to use this product with a lip brush.
Now that I've ranted about the applicator let's talk formula! These glosses are very similar to the formula of an OCC lip tar. They are very creamy and moisturizing. Too much of the product could make them potentially bleed out onto your face, so you should use an anti-feathering pencil with them.
They are very pigmented shades. They wear for about 3 hours and they face gracefully. They do stain the lips a bit which is nice! They are not sticky like a lip gloss. They just feel like a very pigmented creamy lipstick once they set on the lips!
*With Flash*

I would rate this product a 6/10. The product itself is nice, but because of the packaging it makes it very inconvenient to use for me. I like to put on a lipstick or lipgloss and then put in my purse so I can touch up with it later. This product makes it impossible to touch up with on the go. So I like the product on the inside but the packaging ruins my experience with it.

Hopefully this was helpful! Let me know what you think!

My Top 10 Favourite TV Shows

Hello Lovelies!

This post is kind of random but I wanted to share my favourite tv shows of all time with you lovelies! I am obsessed with tv and I follow over 30 tv shows because I basically have no life. I am going to be talking about only 10 of them so that this post doesn't get too long! I love these shows so much and I always recommend them to everyone! Enjoy!

1. Scandal
This show is my everything right now! All I ever do is rave about how amazing this show is! It is so fast paced and very well written. Shonda Rhimes did a great job on this show. Its a show situated in Washington and revolves around a fixer named Olivia Pope. She fixes scandals that happen in the White House and surrounding political sphere and she does an amazing job at it.
There is so much action and drama and it is so badass!! Another thing I love about it is that is MIND BLOWING!! There is nothing predictable about it at all, it always leaves you on a cliffhanger and you get blown away every episode! Watch it people you will love it!

2. The Originals
The Originals is the sister show of the Vampire Diaries. It was the spinoff of the shows and is amazing! I actually prefer it to the Vampire Diaries because the storyline is super cool! Basically the Originals (the Original family of vampires) get introduced a few seasons into the Vampire Diaries. They have a lot more power and were very scary because they were around the longest and immortal. They did so well in the Vampire Diaries that when they left that show, they got their own show and now it has its own storyline and problems. I love it so much! Great fictional show and if you liked Vampire Diaries, you will LOVE the Originals!

3. Modern Family
This show is a comedy that consists of three interlocking families that are all related. They are absolutely hilarious and have very funny storylines. Each character is so different and has their quirks that make them hilarious. The show doesn't have a laughing reel and because of that you can really appreciate the true comedy in the show. It is very humorous and witty and just a family favourite. I would say its appropriate for all ages and everyone will enjoy!

4. Teen Wolf
I remember when this show first came out, everyone made fun of me because who would watch a show called "Teen Wolf" It was during the big vampire, wolf twilight hype that this came out and I wasn't involved in that hype at all but I watched the trailer of this on MTV and fell in love. This show is so freaking EPIC and I don't know how they do it but it makes my insides turn from how scary and dramatic it can be. I can't even watch it at night because it can be so eery. Basically the main character gets bit by a werewolf in the first episode and it changes his life. You go through the show and see how him and his friends get stuck in some very supernatural situations. This show is incredible and the storyline each season just gets more crazy. Plus all the guys are sooooo hot!! Just watch it for some great eye candy ;)

5. Arrow
Arrow is such a great show and it starts out with a man named Oliver Queen who was missing on an Island for five years and makes it back to his home town. But he wasn't just stuck on the Island for those five years. A lot happened and once he gets back to his city you get to see what he went through in the past five years and what new things he gets up to with some new friends he makes as he dedicates his life to saving his city. The show is great and its full of action and drama. I love the storyline and it gets crazier every week!

6. Walking Dead
I have been watching this show for so long now and it only gets better. Obviously its about the zombie apocolypse and we are following a group of people and their struggle of survival through the treacherous condition of the world. Some of the scenes are absolutely heart wrenching and so many people come and go throughout the seasons. I love it so much but be warned, it is SO GORY! Lots of blood and guts and murder and just awful things. It is scary but not horror style or anything. If you have a weak stomach I would steer clear of this show. Otherwise, watch it because its amazing!

7. How I met your mother
If you asked me what my favourite comedy show of all time I would say its HIMYM! I love this show so much. It is over now but I swear I have rewatched all 9 seasons on Netflix 4 times! It surrounds a group of 5 friends and how they live their life in New York. It is full of inside jokes, recurring jokes throughout the seasons, and just really good humour. I love it so much, it beats out every other comedy tv show! Please do yourself a favour and watch this! I also loved the ending, I felt that it was perfect for the storyline! Watch this!!

8. Suits
This show is a lawyer show! I love shows like this so much and I feel like everyone can get into it! It follows a young man with an incredible memory and capability to learn and how he gets himself into a law firm. This show is soooo badass! I love the storyline every season and the characters are so cool! You will especially love the characters Harvey and Donna! Love them so much! I would definitely check this out!

9. How to get away with murder
This is another show that Shonda Rhimes wrote. She did an amazing job as it is a very new show with only one season out so far! It is quite litterally based on the title. The main character is a lawyer/professor and is training her students to be great lawyers while taking cases at the same time. The show is intense and is pretty unpredictable! The show is so good and I can't wait for more seasons to come.

10. Grey's Anatomy
Where do I even start with this show. Grey's Anatomy has been going strong for 11 seasons and they just wrapped up the season. Not sure when season 12 is coming but probably in September sometime. This show is also written by Shonda Rhimes and it is very dramatic. So much happens in this show and you will cry more than you will laugh. I also love it so much because I feel like even though its a tv show you learn so much about health care and surgery and terminology. While I am a little disappointed with the way they ended this season I am slowly getting over it. This show is just a good soap opera type show! I love it so much and each character has a special place in my heart.

Well these are all of my favourite TV shows! I recommend you watch them, they are so good and really make you appreciate good tv again! I do watch way more shows but these ones are my favourite top ten! Let me know what shows you are watching and what you would recommend for me! I always getting into a new show!

Juvia's Place Lipstick Spinner

Hello Lovelies!

I am here with a wonderful product review! I have been wanting a lipstick holder that spins for the longest time and I finally got one! There are several places that carry this type of a product, but Juvia's Place has the best deal. All the other lipstick towers are $100 and they carry around 75 - 100 lipsticks. This one retails for $80 and there are discount codes available to make it even more affordable. It holds 106 lipsticks/lipglosses and it comes in three different colours.
I bought the white shade and it comes with a little bit of crystal lining. They don't look tacky like other lipstick towers because the crystal work is really small and dainty.
It spins really smooth and it came packaged well and nothing was damaged. I was very pleased!

Here is it filled up. I wanted to show what kind of lipsticks would fit in it. I love it so much!

I will leave a link where you can purchase it! I am working on possibly getting you guys a discount code. Juvia's place ships internationally!! So all of you guys should be able to get it! I love seeing it on my vanity, it really is the perfect makeup organizer!

Let me know what you think! I recommend this to everyone!

May IPSY Glambag Review

Hello Lovelies!

I have been subscribed to the beauty box called Ipsy for about 6 months now and I don't know why I haven't reviewed it yet but here it goes! Ipsy is founded by Michelle Phan and is a beauty subscription box that sends you 4 to 5 deluxe sample size products and a small makeup pouch every month. It costs $10 a month but for Canadians with shipping and tax it comes out to about $17 a month.
This month's bag is really cute! Almost a hemp like material with a cute design on the front.
The theme this month was "Jetsetter".
These are all the products I received this month.
Products I received:
Alterna Haircare - Caviar CC Cream
Urban Decay - 24/7 Glide on lip pencil + 2 Revolution High-Colour Lip gloss samples
BellaPierre Cosmetics - Waterproof mineral gel eyeliner pencil
Peter Lamas - Detoxifying Citrus C facial cleanser
Pixi by Petra - Beauty Bronzer
The lip pencil is the oz-one lip pencil. It is a clear silicone feeling pencil that you line your lips with to prevent the gloss from bleeding out onto your skin.
The colours are so beautiful and I will most likely be purchasing full sizes of them. As for the o-zone lip pencil, I don't see myself using it too much.
These are the two lip gloss shades swatched. They look beautiful on the lips, especially mixed together.
This is a full size eye liner pencil.
It was really pigmented and I enjoyed using it. It was very creamy and just a good black eyeliner!
I have yet to try this product. I don't really like when ipsy sends me hair products because my hair care isn't my priority. I think it might be an interesting product to try out later.
I always enjoy citrus cleansers and this one is really nice! Great size as well!
This is a bronzer by pixi. I thought it was an eyeshadow at first because it was quite shimmery. It is really beautiful and actually works great to bronze up the skin for the summer time!
So these are all the things I got in my ipsy glambag this month! I give this month a 7/10 mainly because I don't like when they send me skin care and hair care. I did the quiz several times and made it clear that I dont like stuff like that but they still send me them. The other products make it worth it though!

Let me know if you like this kind of a post or if you've tried ipsy or any other beauty subscription box.

Makeup Review: ABH Artist Palette

Hello Lovelies!

I am so excited to review this palette. I went through so much to finally get it because all sorts of shipping problems but its finally here! This is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Artist Palette.
This palette is limited edition and you can find it on Sephora and on Anastasia Beverly Hills website. It retails for $39 CAD.
This is the packaging that the palette comes in. I really like it, I think it suits the name and the theme of all the palettes colours really well!
These are the shades! Its very different to anything I own. I actually love the combination. Its perfect to take along with any neutral matte palette to create all sorts of looks! There are some really unique shades in this palette that I love too!
I really love the pigmentation on these shades. I own other ABH palettes but they weren't as pigmented as this palette. I found that they didn't swatch very well but this palette is really great.
The shades are very soft and buttery to the touch, The glittery shades do have a little bit of fallout but you will find that in any glitter shade. The best part for me is that these shadows blend really well!! I hate when shadows look muddy and don't blend but these shadows blend wonderfully.
So here is the colour break down:
Dusty Rose (matte dusty rose shade, love this one),
Aubergine (Satin finish dark brown with a cranberry touch),
Anaconda (Shimmery olive green with gold shimmer),
Punch Fuschia (Satin fuschia, almost a muted neon),
Buttery (Matte creamy beige colour),
Blue Velvet (matte, deep navy blue).
Coal (Matte black, soft not overpowering),
Unicorn (Glitter with matte base, very interesting shade of vibrant purple with silver glitter flecks; mostly matte purple),
Phresh (Matte yellow, such an amazing pop of colour! Very impressed because yellows are hard to formulate and this one is amazing!),
Baby I'm A Star (Glittery deep warm brown shade),
Orange You Fancy (Metallic orange with gold shimmer),
Beigely (Shimmery/metallic taupe with silver shimmer).

I give this palette a 10/10! I was hesitant to buy it at first because I thought I wouldn't get much use out of it but I've already done looks with this palette only and I didn't even need to use another palette. The shade range is really great and suits the concept. They blend really well and are quite pigmented! Grab it while you can!

Hope you enjoyed, let me know your thoughts and if you own this or not!

My Top 10 Favourite Lip Liners

Hello Lovelies!

Today I'm going to share my top favourite lip liners with you guys. I've had quite a few people ask me about what lip liners I like to use and I have plenty of affordable suggestions! I don't believe that you need to get MAC or sephora lip liners to achieve an excellent lip combo. There are some incredible options at the drugstore!
So these are all my favourite lip liners that I consistently use on a regular basis! I have other shades but these are just the best for everyday! I've tried to include reds and pinks for more colourful options! I love and recommend all of these whole heartedly!
So first off as you can see, a lot of these are from Avon. Im pretty sure Avon now has the option to order online wihtout needing the catalogue or an individual representative who sells it. I love their retractable lip liner glimmersticks. They are around $2.99 which is a great price because they are such great quality and they are retractable! I have almost every shade but these are definitely the ones I use all the time! My favourite shade is mystery mauve. It is just so perfect for every shade and under every lip colour. It also happens to be a dupe for MAC Soar lip liner!
I also really enjoy Rimmel retractable waterproof lip liners as well as their lip liner pencils. They don't budge once they go on and they definitely prevent lipsticks from bleeding out. They usually run anywhere from $4-$7, so really affordable! I really enjoy Colour Pop's lip pencils as well but they are a little annoying to sharpen, but hey they're only $5!

Hopefully this was helpful and let me know what your favourites are!

5 Things I love Tag

Hello Lovelies!

I recently read a post like this on a fellow blogger's blog and it inspired me to try this tag out myself. I wanted to change it up a little because I've posted a lot of makeup reviews lately. The things I am writing about are not family or friends because it goes without saying that I love them. These loves are different and anyone who knows me could easily agree with everything on this list. I hope you can relate! Enjoy :)

1. Driving
There is nothing better than driving on open highway with beautiful weather out and the radio blasting. It brings me so much happiness and I love road trips where I can drive and just relax. I also love driving in the city too and passing cars and parking properly on the first try. I know this is the weirdest thing to like but I get really impressed with myself when I pass cars and almost race with them.
2. Beach Days
Up until last summer I had only been to a beach once in my life and boy was I missing out. Last summer my husband insisted on finding a beach close by and so I gave in and we went to a beach about half an hour from where I live and I discovered a love for the beach that I didn't think I had. I absolutely love sticking my toes in the sand and walking along the shore. It is the most stress free feeling ever! My husband made it our tradition to go to the beach every Sunday during the summer and I can't wait for Summer to start going again.

3. Playing with Makeup
I love nothing more more than to play with makeup all day, everyday! I love swatching lipsticks in Sephora and trying new foundations and primers. I love trying new eye looks and taking hundreds of selfies. I love filling my shopping cart on every makeup site I come across and I love to organize my makeup in really cute acrylic organizers. It makes me so happy when I just sit at my vanity and play with all my makeup toys!
4. Watching TV
I love coming home from a long day and curling up on the couch next to my husband so we can watch TV. I love watching netflix and just catching up on my shows and my youtube subscriptions. It is my time to relax and clear my mind. I love tv because I can forget my worries and stress for a few hours and just not think. Its mind numbing really which is a weird thing to like but it helps relieve some of my anxiety. I watch a lot of shows so let me know if you guys want to see a list or something like that. I would love to make a post about all my favourite shows and explaining why I love them!
5. Eating Chocolate
My name is Jenan Jeha and I am a chocoholic. Thats what I would say if I attended an AA meeting for chocolate addicts because the love I have for chocolate is like no other. lol I know its kind of ridiculous but I love it enough for it to be on this list!

Well that is all! Let me know if you can relate and if you want to see a list of some amazing shows I watch! I tag all of you do a post like this and let me know when you do so I can come by and read it!
