Holiday Look | THEFACESHOP

Hello Lovelies!

I am back with a little holiday look. THEFACESHOP sent me a few makeup items to try with the request to do a holiday look. This is what I came up with using the makeup from THEFACESHOP!
I used the olive green shadow with gold glitter on the lid as the focal point.
Here's a close up!
Its simple but nice!
These were the lovely items I got! They consist of:
A single eyeshadow in the shade GR01
A single Blush in the shade PK03
A Volumizing Mascara
An Ink lipquid the shade Rose Marsala BR01
A liquid eyeliner in 01 Black
Some of the products were really nice but there was one I didn't really like.
I loved the eyeshadow, it had nice colour payoff and the glitter really showed through which was nice.
This is the liquid liner. It was interesting, the tip was a firm rubber tip that you dip into the product. It was a little tricky to do my wing with it but I made it work. However the actual product was shiny and didn't apply very opaque. I had to go over it several times.
I enjoyed the mascara. It was nice and lengthening with a little bit of volume. I didn't have to build it up, it was really nice!
The blush was nice, it was pigmented but it just didn't suit my skintone very well. It was just way too light and cool tone so it looked kind of ashy on me. It would be gorgeous on fair skin!

There you have it! Thanks so much to THEFACESHOP for the lovely products! Hope you liked the look. Will be updating you guys soon on everything going on with me! Thanks for being cool with everything!

September/October Ipsy Glambag

Hello Lovelies!

I know its been a while since I've posted anything but I am here now. Hopefully gonna get back into blogging regularly soon, its been a tough month! Anyway I realized that I never posted my Ipsy bag for September or October so I thought I would just compile them into one post. Enjoy!
I was really happy with my September Ipsy bag!
This came at the right time because I really needed I nice hand lotion to keep in my purse for everyday use! It smells nice and sinks in pretty quick!
I also got this gorgeous red nail polish from Formula X. I enjoy their nail polish formula, its not my favourite but its nice!
I was super excited about this sleeping mask because I always hear really great things about Laneige. Feels very cooling to the touch but I have yet to try it out!

I got a City Color lipstick. Their lipsticks are super affordable and the formula is really nice! I got a great every day rosy pink colour in a satin creamy formula.
 Very pretty shade! Love it!
This is the bag everything came in. Its a very pretty gold colour, definitely a keeper!
I also got a NYX eyeshadow trio. I thought it was cool that they partnered with Ipsy on this one! The shades are great neutrals.
It doesnt have the best pigmentation and I will probably pass it on to someone who will use it more than me!
I have a lot of eyeshadows that are better in quality but its nice and light for someone who likes a simple look!
This is the card we get! The gorgeous Desi Perkins is all dolled up on this card and her outfit looks so pretty.

And now on with the October Ipsy Bag!
First thing I got was a mini perfume roller ball.
I hated the smell to be honest. It smells of pure vanilla but its very strong and I am not into that kind of a scent personally but others may have enjoyed it.
This is nail polish by Aurora. Its a gel nail polish in a deep navy blue. Haven't tried it yet, so hopefully it turns out good!
This was a cute little item in the bag. It is a matte liquid lipstick by The Balm cosmetics in the shade Committed.
It was a great formula but unfortunately the colour was way too light for me and it did not suit me. However I love mixing my lipsticks so I will keep it to mix it with other shades or use it in the centre of my lips as a brighter pop of colour.
I don't know why this pic turned out so dark, I'm sorry about that! Its a mini exfoliant from Dr. Brandt. Have yet to try it!
This is a Coastal Scents black eye liner pencil. It was very sharp and stiff. I dont think I would ever use it because I have a lot of other good black eyeliner pencils that won't damage my eyes! lol
Not the most pigmented black eyeliner either. If you want a better liner, Colour Pop has come up with some new eyeliner pencils that are retractable and amazing!

There are my ipsy glambags for two months! I will also be sharing my November one soon, lol sorry for being so late and not posting. It has been a rough month and I have not been home or even using makeup at all, so I hope to change that soon.

Review: Splat Long Lasting Color

Hello Lovelies!

Today I am back with another hair product review. This product was sent to me for review and since I wear a hijab I tested it on my friend. This product comes with a bleach and the actual hair colour. I personally didn't use the bleach because my friend didn't want to bleach her hair.
I requested the colour Purple Desire Mauve.
It claims to be a semi permanent colour if you use the bleach. If not it comes out within a couple showers.
This is what the product looks like. Its really goopy and can easily make a big mess so be really careful and use dark towels when applying this product.
We only did a small strand of hair to test it out. We applied the product and waited the proper amount of time and then rinsed it out. A lot of product came out during the rinse. It basically left the hair looking like it had not been dyed.
It quite honestly stained the skin better than her hair lol!

You can kind of see it among her hair. It didn't really show well because her hair is black.
If this product interests you, it can be purchased on FarleyCo's website.
It retails for $14.99.
Overall this product is nice if you wanna use it with bleach. The colour will show up much more vibrant if bleach first. But even without the bleach the colour is subtle enough to do your entire head of hair. After all it does come out in just a few showers. I don't like how messy it is though. The product is very liquidy. I would give it a 6/10.

I'm sorry I've been so MIA from uploading regular blog posts on a proper schedule but you will soon find out why. Thanks for being patient and supportive!

Wedding Glam Makeup Look

Hello Lovelies!

I've had a couple weddings in the past 2 months that I attended. They were for close family members of mine so of course I have to get dolled up for these occasions. I thought I would share my go to signature makeup look that I do for weddings.
I love incorporating purple and mauve tones for eyeshadows because they suit my dark brown eyes and I like how it looks. I also love pairing any eye look with winged eye liner.
Lebanon was very hot and humid so I needed budge proof makeup! Everything I used stayed put the whole day through sweat and heat and hours of dancing!
I used all Makeup Geek shadows because they are the best shadows ever! They never crease on me and they last all day and blend flawlessly!

My trip to Lebanon!

Hello Lovelies!

I'm back from my trip to Lebanon!!
Finally I am back and I can continue to post on my regular schedule! I had a great time in Lebanon and so I thought I would do a travel log type of post to share some pictures with you amazing people! Hope you enjoy!
We left on September 13th. We had 3 stops and 3 planes which sucked but the trip in general was short. When we arrived our whole family was waiting for us at the airport. Thats always my favourite part of going to Lebanon. Seeing everyone you love waiting at the gates for you and running into their arms!
Lebanon is a stunning country. It has mountains for days and the view is absolutely breathtaking!
This scenery is in the village area of Lebanon. I stayed mostly in Beirut with my sister in law but we occasionally visited the country side.
I learned to wrap my scarf differently. I never liked the way I wrapped my hijab but I never knew how to change it to suit my face. I did it like this in Lebanon and never looked back!
Our main purpose of going to Lebanon was to attend my sister in law's wedding! My husband has two sisters. His younger sister was getting married and her wedding was beautiful! She was a gorgeous bride!
We had a blast at her wedding. After the wedding the whole family hopped in their cars and we all sat outside the windows and honked and blasted our music as we drove across the Mediterranean shore for an hour! We then dropped off the bride and groom at their house and went home! It was an unforgettable night!
Her wedding was on the second day of Eid so on the third day my husband and I went down the village to visit my family. My whole extended family lives in the country side so went to celebrate the last day of Eid with them. It was nice and I got to enjoy some yummy sweets!

There are really nice café's on the shore in Beirut and my friends took me out for a nice evening on the Raouché! It was really fun!
They also took me to a private beach for girls only! I tanned and swam and it was awesome!
Then my husband and I went out for Sushi in downtown Beirut. It was delicious!
I love downtown Beirut! Its so cool to go shopping down there!
I also loved to do makeup on my sister in law! I pretty much did her makeup everyday! This look was a gorgeous fall inspired look that I did on her and she got compliments on it the whole day! It looked so beautiful on her!
Me and my sis in law on my last day in Lebanon went to the beach to take a walk and take some photos of the Raouché rock!
They are huge in person!
My cousin is a talented interior deisgner and artist. She free handed this painting for me and I already have it up on my wall in makeup room! Love it!
And then the trip was over and we were on a plane back. It was a peaceful trip back and the view was incredible!

So those were some pictures of my trip! Hope you enjoyed! I had a great time and was glad I got a chance to get away from reality for a bit!
