Farewell 2014

Hello to all the lovelies that take the time to read my blog!

I just wanted to reflect about my blogging experience this year and how it has impacted my life in a positive way. I have always read blogs and enjoyed the prospect of sharing your thoughts with the world. This year was my first year blogging and I have absolutely fallen in love with it. I started blogging at a rough time during my year and I felt like I had no one to talk to. So I started writing and till now there are a lot of posts that I haven't shared but it was such a great form of release from all sorts of pent up emotions. I have loved it this year and I can't wait to do more next year.

I have met some amazing people on blogger as well and have been able to join a great community of Muslimahs that have been so supportive and continually read what I have to say. I never expected to get any views or to meet such nice people. It was really just a place I could share my thoughts on things happening in my life or share my passion of beauty products with anyone who would read it. Blogging has also opened my eyes to so many other blogs that are so creative and artistic and poetic. I have seen a whole other side to people that is so amazing.

It has also gotten me back into the habit of reading again. I used to be an avid reader with a library in my room and my nose always in a book. Up until I went to university, thats when I stopped reading. In fact reading textbooks all day made me hate reading. But blogging has brought that element back into my life which is something I am grateful for.

I have been able to share posts about my life and they have gotten so much positive feedback from girls saying it benefited them. I loved seeing that so much because who knew I could have advice that would actually benefit someone. Nowadays no one wants to here advice, everyone wants to experience things in order to succeed or fail on their own. So the fact that even one person can say they really enjoyed my thoughts and it helped them is just fantastic.

I can't say any new year's resolutions because I have made enough and failed at completing them to know that they are just a means of setting people up for failure. I do want to improve myself and my relationship with my friends and family. This next year is when I will graduate Inshallah and I hope to have some time off. Maybe I'll start a family or travel somewhere, who knows. I just want this next year to be better than the last.

Thank you again to all you amazing people out there. Here's to a better year. Here's to 2015.

Makeup Review: Colour Pop Lippie Stix

Hello Lovelies!

Boy do I have a review for you today! I am so excited to share my thoughts and collection of my Colour Pop Lippie Stix.
Colour Pop is an American company that is all made and shipped from Los Angeles. They started out pretty recently earlier this year and have blown up! I was very intrigued when they came out with lipsticks because I had tried their eyeshadows and they were different than any other eyeshadow I had ever tried. Their lippies are just as amazing! The best part is that everything on their website (not including sets) is $5. Each lippie is $5 and their eyeshadows are $5 as well! Their quality is phenominal, better than drugsore and even cheaper!

They have three different finishes: Matte, Glossy, and Satin.
My favourite finish would have to be the mattes because they are creamy and comfortable and they last on me for at least 8 hours without having to retouch.
This is how they come packaged. Cute and simple!
Button is the only glossy finish lippie I got. Frida is a satin and it feels amazing on the lips. And all the rest of the ones swatched on my arm are mattes! They are very pigmented and the colour is buildable on the lips without building up gunk. They are great to top other lipsticks as well. And seriously they are only $5! They ship to the US and Canada by the way!

I seriously love this company and I hope they continue to grow because their products are so unique and they support youtubers and beauty bloggers by partnering with them to make new products. I recommend their products to everyone!

Makeup Review: Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadows

Hello again ladies! I have been litterally waiting till I finished my exam today to get this makeup review. It's finally here, the amazing Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadows! I was so excited when I got these shadows because Marlena, the owner of Makeup Geek makes amazing products! I am such a big fan of her products and I had been waiting for these shadows to come out for a while now!

Anyway on with the review! So these eyeshadows sell for $9.99 a pop or $89.99 for the set of 10 shadows. They are a little more expensive than the regular eyeshadows because the formula is  different. Upon swatching these shadows they feel really soft, and buttery and to the touch even though they are a powder. They remind me a lot of Stila's Magnificent Metal Foil Eyeshadows except you don't need a mixing medium to get the optimal pigmentation and they have less fallout. These shadows are also half the price of the Stila shadows.

You can buy these shadows here!
I wish my swatches really showed how amazing these shades are in person! These are just swatched with my finger with one swipe into the shadow. I did not use any primer or mixing medium. They are advertised as a foiled shadow that does not need a primer and that will last all day! Some shades look patchy but they really are not. I have applied them to my lids and they look amazing and apply great with your fingers or a brush. Using a brush though, you might have to dip in twice to the product just to achieve the desired pigmentation.

They are very metallic eyeshadows but at the same time they are quite wearable. The shades that Marlena came up with are so perfect and really can be used everyday. The shade In The Spotlight is a stunning champagne lid colour to pop on everyday with Grandstand blended in the outer corners. They are so great and I strongly recommend them to everyone.

One shade in particular is very special. It is called Caitlin Rose and it was named after a girl who was battling Batten Disease. So if you buy any shade, buy Caitlin Rose because all profits from that shadow goes towards fighting Batten Disease.

Hope you guys enjoyed! Let me know what you think below!

Makeup Review: MAC Holiday Collection 2014 Objects of Affection

Hello lovelies! I hope everyone had a good black friday and you guys were able to get your hands on some great deals. We only recently started participating in black friday sales here in Canada so the whole things is very exciting and crazy!
I recently purchased this gorgeous kit from MAC's Holiday Collection 2014. It's called Objects of Affection: Pink/Rose pigments. This was the only part of Mac's holiday collection that stood out to me and it sold out really quick online but luckily they had plenty available at my local Mac store. Below are some pictures and swatches. Enjoy!!
The packaging is really chic and holiday glam appropriate. I really like it!
Here are the stunning cranberry, rosy, gold coloured shades. I chose this one of the three different colour themes just for the shade called Heritage Rouge! It is simply stunning!
These are swatched using a brush that was dipped in Mac's Fix +.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post and if your Mac stores still have this set, I would really recommend purhcasing it. These shades are so gorgeous and they would look really great for some holiday glam looks!

5 Things Marriage Taught Me

I wanted to do something a little different today by reflecting on what I've learned from my marriage so far. Recently my husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary and so I've been thinking about how much has changed in the past year. A lot has and definitely for the better and I wanted to share some things I've learned so far. Let me know if you can relate! Enjoy :)

1. The first year is the hardest
No matter how much you think you know someone, you really don't know them until you've lived under the same roof as them. I was with my husband for 4 years before we got married and lived together. I thought I knew exactly who he was but everything changes when you live with someone. People also don't tell you that the honeymoon phase is basically a lie. Some couples have that honeymoon phase in the earlier parts of their relationship but the first year of marriage is often difficult. I have spoken to several people who have been married for 10 years and they say that they are NOW in their honeymoon phase. They also say that the first year was the hardest and I completely agree. It's hard because you discover all the quirks and annoying habits of your partner that you never knew they had, and they are discovering things about you that they never knew before either. You are developing a routine in that first year and that can be quite difficult. So just based on my personal experience, the first year is the hardest.

2. Maintaining a home is difficult
I used to live with my parents right up until I got married and moved out and I discovered the hard way how difficult it is to maintain a home's cleanliness. I've always had a messy room and I thought I would smarten up after marriage but habits are hard to overcome. You have to make sure garbage goes out on time, laundry and dishes are done, a meal is cooked and things are relatively tidy. Doing just those things is so hard when you work and go to school at the same time. I appreciate my mom so much more because she always used to cut me some slack when I had school.

3. Age difference can be good
So my husband is 30 and I am 21. I know, crazy huh! Nine years is a big difference in age between a married couple and before I got married I was completely against the idea but now I'm all for it. I met my husband when I was 16 and he was 25 and after we talked the first time I thought he was my age and he thought I was his age. Turns out there was nine years between us but something still clicked with us. I've come to appreciate the age difference between us because most guys my age are very immature and so being with someone close to my age may not have worked out. I say Alhamdulilah all the time because he treats me like a princess and I feel like someone my age may not appreciate my youth like he does. (Hopefully that makes sense)

4. Men express love differently
Most men are not like the typical prince charming we see in movies. They don't express their love and affection in the ways we expect. They each have their different ways of showing their love and its hard to understand sometimes because we don't necessarily see it. Some guys get flowers and cards and can be spontaneous and some guys don't but that doesnt mean those guys don't love and appreciate you just as much. They just need some work on learning what you like and how you want to be appreciated and they will get there! Also another thing I wanted to add because it definitely sparked some arguments in my relationship is that men sometimes express their love through intimacy. Sometimes I just wanted an enriching conversation or to be able cuddle without anything progressing but he didn't understand that. I just thought I would mention that as food for thought.

5. Communication is key
As cliché as it sounds communication truly is key. Whenever I would get upset I would turn to the slient treatment which is so wrong!! Half of our fights in that first year, my husband had no clue what he did wrong. I would be so angry and think to myself that he should simply know what he did wrong. The poor guy was so clueless and half the time we would go days without talking simply because I couldn't express what I was angry about. I could have saved so many problems and fights if I just spoke up. The silent treatment is stupid and is difficult for both partners.

This past year has been quite the roller coaster but I wouldn't change it for the world. Everything happens for a reason and alhamdulilah my relationship has improved so much and become stronger. I could write so much more about what I've learned from marriage so far but I feel like these five things are the most important. I hope you guys enjoyed, related, benefited or will take into consideration any of these things for any future relationships. Let me know what you think!

Makeup Review: Gerard Cosmetics Lip Glosses

Hey ladies! I have been so excited to review these super hyped about lip glosses by Gerard Cosmetics. These lipglosses are all over social media and so I gave in to the hype and bought some. I liked them so much, I bought some more! I have some good things and some bad things to say about them and I have some swatches attached below!
I am not a lip gloss girl personally, I am someone who prefers lipsticks. But the amount of hype on youtube over these glosses (plus some awesome discounts) triggered my inner makeup addict so I had to have some! These glosses were started by a company called Whitening Lightening (their name is now Gerard Cosmetics). Their products are designed with a formula and colour choice that is supposed to make your teeth look whiter! They certainly do that and much more!
The packaging is beautiful and great quality. The main marketing point is the fact that they have a mirror on the side and a light in the cap so when you apply the lip gloss in a dark room or a club, you can see where you are applying it.
Here you can see the light in the cap.
These are one swipe swatches with the applicator. They are opaque and super pigmented. The colours are stunning. The formula is consist throughout the ones I have except for one. I dislike the colour Coral Craze. The formula is different in mine for some reason. It's patchy and not buildable and the colour is very poor quality for some reason. Maybe I got a weird one but I didn't like that colour specifically. Other than that one, I love all the rest!
They are so hard to describe. The formula almost hugs your lips. Once they're on they are not going to move. They are sticky but not a bad sticky. It's a thin, opaque, sticky formula that is not tacky and gross. They feel really comfortable on, especially over a lipstick. My favourite colours are: cocoa bean, plum crazy, jewel and wild orchid. They are just so pretty and they certainly made me love lip glosses. I would recommend them to everyone because they are just so beautiful and high quality.

If the light is an issue for anyone then you can stick a paperclip in the light and it will stop lighting up! lol I hate the light so I broke most of mine. The mirror is a nice touch though.

If you want to buy them I suggest going to Jaclyn Hill or Carli Bybel's youtube page because they have discount codes on Gerard Cosmetic products. They are so worth it ladies!

*pics above are all taken by me, sorry for the crap camera*

Makeup Review: Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Palette

Hello again ladies! I'm on a roll this week with posts, lol! I have purchased several things over the past few months so instead of blogging a haul type post which is not as entertaining as youtube videos, I'm just going to review some of the products I've purchased in order to give you guys ideas of what's worth buying during this holiday season!

So I purchased the Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Palette recently but only for one purpose: ITS ON SALE!! It is on sale from $45 down to $19.99! I couldn't not buy it so I did and I am so impressed. I have never even seen the movie Pulp Fiction so I mainly bought it just because it was on sale, and I only bought the palette, not the rest of the Pulp Fiction collection.
Urban Decay palettes are generally really great and they have amazing pigmentation. The only problem I have with them is that their products often have a lot of fallout. But this palette didn't have too much, mainly becase most of the shades are matte. The shades are perfect neutrals that can be used everyday or even turned into a gorgeous smokey eye. They have a perfect transitioning shade and its a mix of cool and warm browns with black and rich creamy white shades.

These swatches are one swipe pigmentation, I was very impressed!
It's a great little palette thats perfect for every day and great for travel. It also has a little double sided brush that can be useful but I don't tend to use it. I prefer this to the either of the Naked Basics because I've swathed those in store and they seem so boring to me. This palette is so worth it right now for on $20, so girls grab it while you still can! Link to the palette is at the bottom of the post.

40 Beauty Questions Tag

I love doing tags, in case you couldn't tell, so I thought I would give this one a go! It's all about makeup and skincare, hope you guys enjoy!

SKINCARE
How many times do you wash your face daily?
Twice!
What skin type do you have? (dry, oily, combo)
I have combination skin, my nose gets super oily throughout the day.
What is your current facial wash?
I love Philosophy's Purity cleanser, its great stuff and it smells like a nice soap.
Do you exfoliate?
I atually don't but only because I haven't found an exfoliator I like.
What brand do you use?
None.
What moisturizer do you use?
I use a few but my facourite is Clinique's moisture surge.
Do you have freckles?
Nope!
Do you use eye cream?
Yes, its the Ole Henrikson Fresh Start Eye Cream.
Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
Alhamdilah, I have had pretty clear skin my whole life, I do get the occasional hormonal breakout, but nothing too bad.
Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
Yes, at one point the texture of my skin was bothering me. I had little bumps on my forehead that weren't surfacing properly so I used the Pro-activ toner and it worked great!

MAKE-UP
What foundation do you use?
I use a few different ones actually: Makeup Forever HD, EX1 Invisiware (my favourite), Maybelline Dream Wonder Fluid Touch, loreal true match, Estee Lauder Double Wear and of course my garnier BB cream. I use them all during different days and depending how long I need my foundation to last.
How about concealer?
My HG concealer is Mac Pro Longwear and sometimes I use maybelline Age Rewind concealer.
Do you know your undertone color?
Yes, I have more warm, yellow/olive undertones.
What do you think of fake eyelashes?
I can't put them on for the life of me and personally Im not a big fan. I was blessed with pretty nice lashes and with a good mascara I can achieve the results I want. But hey, to those who can pull them off, props to ya!
Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes but who actually follows those rules! lol I use them until they're empty or go dry.
What brand of mascara do you use?
Just like foundations, I use like a million different mascaras. I am that girl that uses a mascara combo to get the look I want, so right now I'm using Too Faced Better than sex mascara and Benefit's They're Real together. But I also love Rimmel's lash accelerator and Loreal's voluminous carbon.
Sephora or MAC?
Sephora just because there is so much variety!
Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
No, I wish.
What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
I usually use a flat top kabuki brush or a buffing brush for foundation. Real techniques have the best brushes ever and they are so affordable! For concealer, I like using the real techniques miracle complexion sponge! It blends like a dream!
Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
Yes!
For the face?
Absolutely! I love Maybelline's baby skin, even more than the porefessional!
What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
Makeup Geek's Bitten, and pretty much all her shadows! Litterally if I don't want to think too much about it and want an effortless eye look, her shadows are the absolute best!
Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Pencil, I can draw a fierce wing with a pencil liner surprisingly!
How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Maybe once a week, lol
What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
I love pigments, they are super fun to glam up a look! Makeup Geek has great pigments, so similar to MAC if not better! Plus they are a quarter of the price!
Do you use mineral makeup?
Yes, sometimes not always.
What is your favorite lipstick?
I refuse to answer this because I LOVE sooo many! I can't choose!
How about lipgloss?
Gerard Cosmetic's lipglosses are all amazing, but my favourite shade is Cocoa Bean!
What is your favorite blush to use?
I love Tarte blushes and Makeup Geek as well!
Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
I used to and I got some great palettes for super cheap, but I mainly buy brushes and makeup organization tools from ebay.
Do you like drugstore makeup?
YES!! I love walking through the aisles and just swatching everything and some of my all time holy grail products are drug store products like ELF, Maybelline and Rimmel.
Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)
I did once and it was amazing, I bought limited edition products from Mac and other companies for super cheap! It was awesome!!
Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
No, not really. I feel like makeup schools need to up their game because their techniques are a little outdated. Some, not all.
Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
If I'm rushed then yes I get clumsy and poke my eye with a mascara wand or something. I swear I have dropped at least three brand new powders that shattered just from being rushed.
Name a makeup crime that you hate?
It is my absolute pet peeve when I see someone with eye liner on their lids and you can see the skin between the eye liner and their lash line. Like fill in the space!!
Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
I like colourful lipsticks and eyeshadows, but I mostly wear neutral eyeshadows ona regular basis. I do play with colours when I'm bored though!
Which celebrity always has great make up?
I really like Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian's makeup. Their makeup truly stands out to me. I know, I hate myself too. lol
If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use?
Probably powder or mascara.
Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
Yes, if I have time I will put makeup on but if I don't, I will go out without any on.
Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
Sometimes, I like my skin alhamdilah but I do believe that makeup enhances beauty so I do like myself better with it on.
In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
This is a tough one but the one brand that has a consistent line all across the board would have to be Makeup Forever. They have great base products, eye shadows, concealers, brushes, etc. But for eye products, makeup geek all the way!
What do you think of Makeup?
Makeup is simply a way of enhaving one's beauty in order to make them feel a little more glam or beautiful. For me, makeup is a pick me up, on those days where I'm feeling down. I get to play and be somewhat of an artist and shape my face into something beautiful and colourful. Makeup is my hobby, my passion and my me time.

I tag everyone who loves makeup to try this tag! It was fun and therapeutic for me considering how hectic this week has been with school. So try this out, hopefully you enjoyed this tag!

Makeup Review: Tarte Pin Up Girl Amazonian Clay Blush Palette

Hey ladies! The holidays are upon us and as many of you probably know, a bunch of cosmetic companies have realeased stunning holiday gift sets and I am obsessed! This year Tarte released the limited edition Pin Up Girl Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush Palette. I've attached the pictures and swatches below!

This is the outside packaging. It is designed to look like a cute holiday clutch. It is a metallic gold pleather clutch with lavender print and it comes with two little bobby pins. They are cute but I would certainly get no use out of them. I personally am not that big of a fan of the clutch idea. I mean no one would actually carry around a clutch of blushes. If it had a pocket in the clutch for a lipgloss or lipstick and enough room for a little brush then it might be a bit more convenient. But as for right now, its not the most suitable packaging for storing neatly.
Tarte's 12 hour amazonian clay blushes are some of the best blushes on the market. Their colours are stunning and buttery to the touch. They are super pigmented and they blend really well. The best factor is that they are truly long lasting. Blush usually fade on me after a couple hours but these guys really held up the whole day!
This is a picture with flash.
Here are the swatches! They are so stunning, they are mostly satin finishes, some have more of a sheen than others. The colours names from left to right are: Breathless, Embraced, Whimsy, Bashful,  and Irreplaceable. All new shades!

Overall I give this palette a 7/10
Blushes are absolutely phenominal but the packaging kinda ruins it for me. I would have preferred if it was in a slim cardboard type packaging instead.

That's all for this review, hopefully it was helpful for anyone interested in this palette!

Fall Makeup Essentials

It's finally sweater weather!! I love the fall so much because of the amazing weather and the amazing fashion! lol I have been waiting all summer for fall to come just so I can start wearing my dark lippies! I've taken some pictures of my favourite glosses, liquid lipsticks and lipsticks to wear for fall. Hope you guys like my choices and let me know what your faves are!

For anyone who wants that Kylie Jenner lip, the lipstick called Twig from Avon is on point! The closest colour I've seen so far and they have a matte version in their many lines of lipstick.

I also love matte eye shadows for the fall and this pallette is perfect because it is an all matte pallette! It's called Naturally Pretty by It cosmetics and it comes with one transforming shade that makes the other shades shimmery if desired. Here it is!
The shades are so fall appropriate too!

Hope you enjoyed the read! Happy fall :)

PS: Inspiration for this post is from the lovely Saba and her blog A Hijabi Fashionista. Please check out her page, its great!

I'm not perfect and thats ok!

Salam ladies! I just wanted to post real quick about something that hit me yesterday and it made me feel like an idiot. Recently I've gained quite a bit of weight due to a certain brand of birth control I was taking and it bothers me a lot when I see myself because I feel foreign in my own body. I've become so uncomfortable in my own skin its ridiculous. From the moment I get up to the moment I fall asleep I feel like I have to constantly remind myself to suck in or stand up straight or don't hunch my shoulders because it will make you look even worse.

Even my face bothers me. I got a black eye a while back from bumping heads with my friend by accident and it made one side of my face almost lift, so I have one eyebrow that is significantly higher than the other and its quite noticeable because my brows are big. Of course I'm the only one that notices this but it bothers me soooo much! I'm cautious of what side to stand on in pictures and what side to sit in class so that people dont have to focus on the "ugly" side of my face. Its pathetic and I hate myself for it.

I used to be the most confident girl with big eyebrows and didn't care who knew. I was always much taller than my friends and had broad shoulders but I owned them. I was never the girl that was uncomfortable with how she looked until now. I used to love every imperfection in myself and I really didnt care what others thought. But the moment I gained some weight and started really noticing and over-analysing myself I became that girl. The self-concious girl that couldn't stand herself anymore. Not everyone notices of course, since Im tall and wear looser clothing it hides a lot and no one can really tell, but I can and it kills me. Until yesterday.

I was getting ready for an interview I had and I was so excited for it. I was choosing my outfit and really focussing on my makeup. I have to say I did really good makeup yesterday because the interview was for a cosmetics company. I liked my look and then I went to the interview. It was a group interview and I sat closest to the itnerviewers with the ugly side of my face facing them. I was so upset from the beginning and I got so nervous that they were going to think I didn't look good or that my eyebrows are weird or that I looked to big or something. I was fidgety but tried to keep cool and I could not sit comfortably.

I stressed so much when I was in that interview about how I looked that when I caught myself in a mirror on the way out I almost laughed out loud. I looked at myself and next to other girls I was thinking in my head "dammnn, you look good!" haha but seriously I felt like an idiot, my makeup was flawless, my clothes were really nice, I was still big and busty but it didnt seem so bad. I just felt so stupid for feeling like a nervous wreck in the interview because I looked fine. Walking out of the interview, the lady doing the interview even complimented my makeup! I was shocked. I just felt so stupid and realized I'm ok. I am fine, I look fine, I should feel fine.

Thats my goal now. I want to start losing the weight and I signed up for a gym membership so hopefully that will bring some confidence back. And also I want to learn to stop stressing so much about what side of my face looks better and what eyebrow is higher or lower. I need to find the old me again and Inshallah I will.

Sorry if this was kind of heavy or weird. I just had to vent. Im not looking for compliments or anything, I just feel like I'm not the only one that feels this way sometimes. I realized yesterday how silly it is to feel this way!

Review: Lorac Pro 2

Hello bloggers! I've decided to skip the monthly favourites this month in order to review some new beauty products I bought in August. I live in Canada so certain makeup brands are not available here and do not ship to Canada either. So, I drove down to the U.S and finally explored the amazing store that is ULTA Beauty!! I was so excited, I was litterally squealing with joy as we got closer. When I walked in I felt like I wanted hug all the people that worked there. Lol anyway I did some damage and left super happy with a bag full of products I've had my heart set on buying for years!

One of the newer items I picked up was the Lorac Pro 2 palette and I was certainly not disappointed. I apologise because my camera truly doesn't do these shades justice.

These pictures are swatched with one swipe pigmentation. I did not even use a primer! They are so buttery and creamy and the tiniest amount goes a long way! The shades have cooler tones as opposed to the original lorac pro palette. They are both great palettes and their quality is phenominal!

Some of the darker shades have the slightest bit of fallout if too much is picked up on the brush so I would just gently tap off the excess before applying to your eyelids.

I have a lot more reviews to come of some awesome products so let me know if you guys like what you see!

11 more questions

Hello Ladies! I was nominated again for the Liebster award by the lovely Reshah. Please make sure to check out her inspiring blog! This time around, I will just be answering the questions but if you enjoy them please feel free to answer them yourself and let me know so I can check out your answers!

1. How did you come across blogging?
I've always read my favourite blogs from various youtubers but I never really started blogging until I saw my friend Lena from escapeandlove's blog. Her blog was so inspiring to me and it really triggered the old writer in me. I started my blog just to vent and it ended up translating into a beauty and lifestyle type blog. I'm happy with it and I got to meet some lovely bloggers online because of it!

2. Do you read? What are your three top favourite books?
Yes, I love reading! I love the Harry Potter books, the Hunger Games trilogy and the book I mentioned in my last post called Loser by Jerry Spinelli.

3. What is your favourite quotation?
Always appreciate things before they're gone.

4. Are you a red, pink or nude lips kind of person?
I love me some red lipstick! The darker and vampier the better!

5. How would you describe yourself in three words?
Loud, funny, whiny

6. What do you dislike the most?
I dislike a LOT of things. Choosing the worst of the worst is tough.

7. Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
I'm not quite sure but hopefully I want to be working at a job I love, maybe living in a house with my husband. I would like to have a child by that point hopefully.

8. What genre movie would you choose to watch?
Comedy for sure!

9. What is your favourite makeup brand?
This is tricky because I don't have a favourite. But I use eye shadow a lot and if I had to choose my favourite eye shadow company it would be Makeup Geek. They have the best eye shadows on the market and their price point is great!

10. You had to leave your house in a hurry, what would you not leave the house without (makeup wise)?
I would have to choose lipstick for sure. That is really the only thing I ever need to touch up during the day.

11. If you had to wear bright red cheeks or have drawn in eyebrows, which one would you choose?
My eyebrows are pretty thick already so I would choose bright red cheeks!

Feel free to answer these questions yourselves. I've already nominated a few people in my last post, so I'll leave it open to whoever wants to try it this time around!
